City Cats 02:32
City cats are out tonight They like it when the moon is bright Climbing trees and climbing walls They have no fear of heights at all Nature's here in town Look see what's around At dusk, fox is on the prowl From the park we hear an owl Owl's silent feathered flight Scares the mouse who is out tonight Nature's here in town Look see what's around Around the street lights high above You might see a leopard moth In gardens, woods, parks and streets Looking for some leaves to eat Nature's here in town Look see what's around Pipistrelle is a little bat At night it hunts for midges and gnats It squeezes through gaps to roost inside Old buildings are good places to hide Nature's here in town Look see what's around

The rain to the wind said "You push, I'll pelt" Hit the garden bed and the flowers all knelt Rain to the wind said "I'll splash, you blow" Coming from the East, soon there will be snow "My drops will turn to ice, you blow day and night" Cities, towns and countryside all blanketed in white

Seed to flower, acorn to oak Rain the the earth, rain will soak Down through the ground, make no sound Seed to flower, acorn to oak Blossom to fruit, egg to bird Sun shines down, needs not a word Seasons turn World turns around We stand between The sky and the ground
4.
Robin 01:00
The little bird has whistled from the top of a holly tree His breast as red as the berry A merry little bird seems he He's bold and bright and he throws his song Over the garden wall Where another little bird from the top of a larch Answers his call The ground is white with a hard frost The sun drops form the sky The trees are bare as a witch broom But the small birds stay on high Whistle for a whistle Till the first star blinks Whistle till the grey dusk falls Only then with a flicker and dart Do they leave their branches tall

Caterpillar 01:15
Creepy Crawly Caterpillar Looping up and down Little tufts of hair along you back of golden brown Munching leaves all summer long Now you're too big for your skin Soon you will go pop Not able to fit in (repeat 1st verse) Then you'll wrap yourself in silk Sleep for many a day Then lovely butterfly spread your wings and fly away
7.
Tawny Owl 02:31
The child slept soundly wrapped in dreams The night was prickled with squeaks and screams The tawny owl left its perch to fly A star left the Milky Way and slid across the sky A star left the Milky Way and slid across the sky The vole's scream was sharp and shrill It cried, then was still The night was prickled with squeaks and screams The child slept soundly wrapped in dreams The child slept soundly wrapped in dreams Morning came with fresh air and rain Fields and woods sweet and green again No hint of death No terrified scream The child awoke from a long sweet dream The child awoke from a long sweet dream A blackbird sang The world born anew The child never guessed what the night had been through The tawny owl slept in the barn Looking as if it could never cause harm Looking as if it could never cause harm
8.
Fox 00:47
Among the dustbins Along the street The young fox walks on dainty feet He swings his tail Prepares to fly If a fierce dog should come by The night is quiet He looks around Goes on his way And makes no sound A wild creature On our street The young fox walks on dainty feet

Who saw the petals, drop from a rose? "I" said the spider "but nobody knows" Who saw the butterfly, who saw the bee drink from the honeysuckle? Said the spider "only me" Who saw the ants marching all in a row? "I" said the spider "I'm the only one that knows" Who saw the morning mist settle on the ground? "I" said the spider "I was the only one around"

Little eyes all around Fluttering wings that make no sound Sharp little teeth, nibbling jaws Our little neighbours are outdoors Find out their names and what they do They live here alongside you Don't be afraid, nothing to fear They are meant to be here Creatures that live underground Burrowing deep make no sound Some wriggle, some squirm Our gardens need earthworms Outdoors is their home Where they rest, where they roam There is nothing to fear They are meant to be here
